Exhibiting artist Fiona Scope brings her love of art and well-being together in an engaging activity for children aged 6 to 12 years.

Workshops kick off with some fun yoga games, eg. musical yoga and meditation followed by art activities using pastel, water colour, ink, pencil or acrylic.

Session times: 9.30am / 10.30am / 12.30pm / 1.30pm

Cost: free of charge

Sunday 4th August - Trail Bay Gaol

Learn to make a grapevine chandelier with renowned Northern Rivers community artist Pamela Denise. It is a great feeling to make an artwork from garden debris and this simple technique can produce spectacular results when chandeliers are lit at night.

Session times: 10am through to 4pm, each chandelier takes at least 45 minutes to make, although can take longer.

Cost: each chandelier made, costs $20.

Inspired to Draw

Saturday 17th August - Trial Bay Gaol

Fiona Scope returns to the Gaol to help you improve your drawing skills. For beginners (aged 15 years and above) or experienced artists who would like to improve their drawing skills.
Topics covered will include:
• Contour Drawing Techniques
• Negative space verse positive space
• Portraiture
We will also cover the following topics in detail:
• The role of left and right hemispheres of the brain when drawing. Reference: Drawing from the right side of the brain, Dr Betty Edwards.
• The history of illustration. Reference: Leonardo on the body.

Session times: 10am for 1.5 hours

Cost: $25 per person, includes Gaol entry.
